Cosmetics Sample Testing as per BIS

As Mandated by CDSCO, an ingredient list or Composition sheet of all ingredients in a product is required to be submitted along with a qualitative and quantitative breakdown of each Ingredient. This requirement is clubbed with the Requirements imposed by the Bureau of Indian Standards. As per Bureau of indian Standards IS 4707 Part II, which lists the substances which cosmetics products must not contain in except the  restrictions and Conditions laid down by the BIS.This helps CDSCO to ensure that the ingredients used in the products follow the  Bureau of Indian standards Guidelines for Maximum percentages allowed for certain ingredients.
